Cohabit is a tool for shared living homes. It enables groups of people to organize their homes by creating a professional cleaning list in seconds that is then organized, assigned, and presented by our algorithm.
Our system has been carefully tested to optimize for convenience and equitable task splits. To achieve convenience, we will help you split your home into zones, which means you are always completing tasks in specific areas. To achieve equitable task splits, we utilize data from a rolling six-month window to assign the zones in a way that promotes fairness.

Join or create a home
Creating a home
Creating a home is easy. Simply click the Create home button on the main page (opens in a new tab) and fill out the form. Once completed, you'll be prompted to view your new home, and it will appear on your home page.
Joining homes
Any invitations linked to the email you signed up with automatically appear on your home page. Otherwise, you will need to follow the link provided in your invitation email.
Add members and zones
Once you've created a home, you can add members and zones.
